As the VFL state game is on this weekend, the teams have a bye. However, as the Blues also have a bye NEXT week, the Blues and Werribee got together and organized a practice match On Sunday, starting at 1000 at Arden St.
Teams have not been announced as yet.

A recent discovery suggests humans originated from Greece (and Bulgaria, but who cares about Bulgaria) rather than central Africa. I'd imagine a few of our posters will take a victory lap now  ;D

After the Round 8 match against St Kilda, we had endless debate about Murphy and Carlisle...

There has been no news on the outcome of the resulting melee.  Did anybody get fined?

I know Murphy ended up under about 20 players getting into him...

I would be amazed if Murphy got fined on top of everything else he went through.

Or did it not actually happen in the AFL eyes?

Remember:
[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.
[3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F.
[4] Votes must add up to 15.

I don't expect a lot of voting this week, but I hope we can get anyone who saw the game to put in their 2 cents worth.

Finding that shoot in a rain sodden game could be difficult however have a go.

Choose ONE ONLY Green Shoot you observed from the game.  Can be a player, passage of play and individual effort, any ONE Shoot that put a smile ???? on your face.

My shoot is sprouting at a rapid rate and I can't wait until it is fully grown.  Tom Williamson, just keeps getting better!

Hard for me to comment on the Fremantle game as I didn't see any of it. However good or bad it was, we now to face North Melbourne at Etihad next Sunday evening and they appear to be finding some form.
Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and move forward.

This line-up looks about as strong as we can field in the VFL, but the 3 emergencies will almost certainly not be there. They will be making the trip to Perth, even though they may not play at all.
Russell and Wilson will almost certainly play, meaning there WILL be a couple of guys running around on the development game. I doubt Buckley will be one of them: he has been playing well. Polson and LeBois are more likely.

Keppel and Pickett are out, which is pity.

This week we play the Dockers on Sunday at 1640 in the afternoon, Melbourne time (1440 over in Perth).
We will not be on free to air TV in Melbourne.

As a result I probably won't be voting on this game: I simply won't be seeing enough to have a decent opinion.

This is a danger game for us, not the Freo are THAT good (although they are improving), but that their drive comes from Sandilands. Kreuzer does not have a good record against Sandilands.
