https://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/2019-0...lian-squad
Quote:Brianna Davey, Kerryn Harrington, Gab Pound and Madison Prespakis were all named by the AFL last night as being in the squad of 40.
The team of 21 players, including a captain and vice-captain, will be announced at the W awards on Tuesday 2 April.
Well done to the girls.
I'm especially pleased that Gab Pound made the squad as i think her contributions are largely overlooked. She has been solid since game 1, season 1. Her game has gone up a notch this year, but still goes unrecognised most weeks. Not sure she'll make the team, but good luck to her and all the girls.

So, we lick our wounds and fly to SA next week.
I note Port play Melbourne tomorrow. Dixon and Wines big out. We'll win this one if Charlie C. puts in.
Their injury list:
Joe Atley Knee Available
Matthew Broadbent Hamstring TBC
Charlie Dixon Leg/ankle TBC
Riley Grundy Knee TBC
Sam Hayes Knee TBC
Jarrod Lienert Knee TBC
Jake Patmore Knee Season
Paddy Ryder Cheekbone Available
Ollie Wines Shoulder 2-3 weeks
Updated: Thursday, March 21
Early prognosis
Ryder has been given the all clear to take on Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday. The ruckman will wear headgear to protect his cheekbone. Co-captain Wines looks set to miss at least the first two rounds in his recovery from shoulder surgery. Vice-captain Hartlett will play in a SANFL trial game on Friday night in his first game back from a torn ACL, while young midfielder Atley (knee) will also resume with the Port Adelaide Magpies. Broadbent will miss the SANFL game after experiencing hamstring tightness at training. The club isn't putting a timeframe on the return of key forward Dixon, who had a clean-out of his right ankle on Tuesday afternoon. He's likely to miss at least the first month of the season and possibly longer. Defender Lienert is sidelined with medial damage to his knee sustained in the second JLT Community Series game against North Melbourne. - Lee Gaskin

Just on the CheatsTV pissweak reaction to those trolls pestering Tayla Harris.
Firstly, what a bunch of fecking morons CheatsTV really are, it just exposes the true attitude of the AFL and CheatsTV towards the AFLW, no wonder their station and organisation appears full of Dankettes and drug apologists. CheatsTV is a forking disgrace and should be excluded from all future broadcast rights negotiations. There is some true irony when their talent describes Sam Newman as a dinosaur, I hope Sam Lane has enough willpower to call them out on air!
Secondly, Carlton fans this is why I demand our club becomes less passive and more pro-active in the media. The loudest voices supporting Tayla should be Carlton fans and the Carlton Football Club. Our board members and executive should have stormed the media last night demanding respectful treatment. Carlton fans and the Carlton football club get around Tayla Harris and build the culture, if you don't it's just another sign you'll give up the line meekly and mildly.
Finally, what a freaking superstar Tayla is, what a role model for everyone.
