Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle
#1
2nd time lucky: my connection didn't quite manage to create this thread earlier today.
Nichevo.
To those who will be at the game live or have Pay TV, I envy you. I will have to fix that issue.
Hopefully there will be plenty of reasons to vote after this round!

Remember:
[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.
[3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F.
[4] Votes must add up to 15.

A bit surprised nobody has started this, but I am willing enough.

Team: B
We won. Can’t say anything else. Granted that we had our problems, especially by foot, but we won against one of the best teams of the last 5 years on their own patch.

Votes:
First a caveat: I didn’t see the game at all. I just followed it by the statistics. Therefore my opinions will not be as accurate as I would like, as I don’t know enough about the match – ups.
However:
[3] Cripps
[2] Kerridge
[1.5] Simpson
[1.5] Murphy
[1.5] Ed Curnow
[1.5] Gibbs
[1] Wright
[1] Byrne
[1] Thomas
[1] Rowe

Explanations:
[3] Cripps: 20 contested disposals and more clearances than anyone else.
[2] Kerridge: In and under and lots of the ball.
[1.5] Simpson: Disposal by hand was so so, but by foot was pretty good.
[1.5] Murphy: Brilliant early, and excellent after half time.
[1.5] Ed Curnow: Really stood up when it was required.
[1.5] Gibbs: Best effort for the year.
[1] Wright: Brilliant first half
[1] Byrne: Drive and run from defence.
[1] Thomas: Kicked 3 goals
[1] Rowe: Beat Pavlich

Honourable Mentions:
Kreuzer: Lots of taps, but not many possessions.
Phillips: Lots of taps, but struggled to get possessions.
Liam Jones: Not even God could have get a kick with some of our forward football, but he kicked 2 when it was really necessary.
Casboult: Much more comfortable away from the big sticks.

3. Byrne (contested marks: 4 / rest of the team: 5  -  Awesome)
2. Cripps (29 including 20 contested - 20! Ridiculous. Far from his best but he did wear around a freo player shaped backpack all day)
1. Simmo (30@ 87% efficiency + 3 goal assists - did some real damage - great to see)

Can't be bothered with the votes but Ed Curnow was our best from where I sat.

Cripps was immense, but Ed was everywhere we were weak.

This guy is an example setter.

Doesn't quite add up to 15 votes. Do you want me to award votes using ratios?
