Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - crashlander - 04-22-2016 2nd time lucky: my connection didn't quite manage to create this thread earlier today. Nichevo. To those who will be at the game live or have Pay TV, I envy you. I will have to fix that issue. Hopefully there will be plenty of reasons to vote after this round! Remember: [1] At least 3 players need to get a mention. [2] No more than 10 votes for any one player. [3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F. [4] Votes must add up to 15. Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - crashlander - 04-24-2016 A bit surprised nobody has started this, but I am willing enough. Team: B We won. Can’t say anything else. Granted that we had our problems, especially by foot, but we won against one of the best teams of the last 5 years on their own patch. Votes: First a caveat: I didn’t see the game at all. I just followed it by the statistics. Therefore my opinions will not be as accurate as I would like, as I don’t know enough about the match – ups. However: [3] Cripps [2] Kerridge [1.5] Simpson [1.5] Murphy [1.5] Ed Curnow [1.5] Gibbs [1] Wright [1] Byrne [1] Thomas [1] Rowe Explanations: [3] Cripps: 20 contested disposals and more clearances than anyone else. [2] Kerridge: In and under and lots of the ball. [1.5] Simpson: Disposal by hand was so so, but by foot was pretty good. [1.5] Murphy: Brilliant early, and excellent after half time. [1.5] Ed Curnow: Really stood up when it was required. [1.5] Gibbs: Best effort for the year. [1] Wright: Brilliant first half [1] Byrne: Drive and run from defence. [1] Thomas: Kicked 3 goals [1] Rowe: Beat Pavlich Honourable Mentions: Kreuzer: Lots of taps, but not many possessions. Phillips: Lots of taps, but struggled to get possessions. Liam Jones: Not even God could have get a kick with some of our forward football, but he kicked 2 when it was really necessary. Casboult: Much more comfortable away from the big sticks. Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - jeza - 04-24-2016 3. Byrne (contested marks: 4 / rest of the team: 5 - Awesome) 2. Cripps (29 including 20 contested - 20! Ridiculous. Far from his best but he did wear around a freo player shaped backpack all day) 1. Simmo (30@ 87% efficiency + 3 goal assists - did some real damage - great to see) Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - RiverRat - 04-24-2016 Team = B [3] Simpson [2] Wright [2] Murphy [1] Byrne [1] Cripps [1] Gibbs [1] Rowe [1] Thomas [1] Gibbs [1] Kerridge [1] Ed Curnow Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - LoveNavy - 04-24-2016 Team B- Thomas 3 Byrne 3 Rowe 3 Simmo 2 Cripps 1 Murphy 1 Lamb 1 Kerridge 1 Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - ElwoodBlues1 - 04-24-2016 Team B+ 4: Byrne 2: Thomas 2: Wright 2: Simpson 2: Murphy 1: Cripps 1: Rowe 1: Casboult Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - Juddkreuzer - 04-24-2016 Team B 5 - Rowe 4 - Cripps 3 - Kerridge 2 - Murphy .5 - Kreuzer .5 - Thomas Re: Rd 5: Jim Park Voting: Carlton vs. Fremantle - cimm1979 - 04-24-2016 Can't be bothered with the votes but Ed Curnow was our best from where I sat. Cripps was immense, but Ed was everywhere we were weak. This guy is an example setter.
