AFL Rd 2 2024 Bye

We need the bye, if just to get some of our players back. It has been nice to win with the guys we have, but we will be better with more guys available.

Just as well we have the bye after two games..... the boys must be stuffed!

Voss was saying in his presser that they've gone pretty hard in the lead-up to the bye.
They've been planning this once the fixture was known around November.
Essentially maintaining a high workload, with the inention then to use the bye as a freshening up period prior to attacking the season proper.
As a result there are a few bodies in need of a break.

McGovern mentioned after last nights game they'd been training hard, and that he was a bit sore, and definitely looking forward to a rest.

Im glad that we are "starting the season" against North.

The first two games were dangerous enough.  We've done enough to get 2 wins and and north will be a danger game for us, but we should account for them well enough.
