Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 6 Carlton vs Fremantle
#1
Interesting to see how we respond this week.

Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.

Someone has to play well.

Considering we had Marc Pittonet and Harry McKay effectively out of the play for more than 3 quarters, it wasn’t a bad effort. Just not the one we wanted. But we didn’t give up. Previous years we would have lost by a lot more.

Votes:
[4] Patrick Cripps
[2] Sam Walsh
[2] George Hewett
[2] Adam Cerra
[1.5] Sam Docherty
[1] Adam Saad
[1] Jacob Weitering
[0.5] Tom de Koning
[0.5] Lewis Young
[0.5] Nick Newman

Explanations:
[4] Patrick Cripps: 32 possessions, 3 goals, 5 tackles and 8 clearances to a losing ruck; what more can you do?
[2] Sam Walsh: 36 possessions, 4 tackles and 3 clearances for a guy is who isn’t at his damaging best yet.
[2] George Hewett: 30 possessions, 8 tackles and 6 clearances for such a consistent player.
[2] Adam Cerra: 32 possessions, 5 tackles and 7 clearances against his old team.
[1.5] Sam Docherty: 32 possessions from our most effective defender.
[1] Adam Saad: Tried hard, ran himself into trouble sometime, but really put in.
[1] Jacob Weitering: Totally dominated his opponent. He is still playing a lot more defensively than he can.
[0.5] Tom de Koning: tried his guts out, got more than a few possessions and tried hard for mark of the year.
[0.5] Lewis Young: Serviceable.
[0.5] Nick Newman: Serviceable.

Honourable Mentions:
Zac Williams: Almost deserved a vote, and would have if more of his kicks had been better.
