I enjoyed watching Bert's episode of
Who do you think you are?
It really gave an insight to the person behind the showbiz persona. Interestingly SBS showed it out of sequence just after his leg operation. They must have thought that he wouldn't be around for much longer.
I was never a big fan of Bert but he certainly had a presence in my life on the wireless and on the box, particularly with Graham Kennedy ... and who could forget his "I like the boy" comment and Mohammed Ali's response?
Condolences to his family and RIP Bert

Bert's talent astonished many international celebrities. No auto cues. A true master of ad lib. He and Gra Gra were giants of Oz entertainment, indeed, pioneers. A very sad day. RIP Betram... deep sympathy to his family, loved ones and friends. Huge loss.
