Out Murphy Dow
In Cripps Fogarty

If the review is meaningful, it must have addressed our bizarre team selection decisions.

Agree on set and forget KP players, no more he might turn into X Y or Z we want the real deal up front.
IMHO I think it would be SPS and a first rounder for Cerra as the Freo asking price..I also think Fisher will feature in trade talks as well.
Media can rate all they want. No chance.

SPS and at most a 2nd rounder.....no more.
I'd rather keep SPS personally, but accept it may be better for all to get Cerra in and SPS out.

I've gone cold on Cerra ever since our game where he couldn't hit the side of a barn....but we seem keen so i've accepted its possible.

Dow out can only be because he is gone though, so tigers is the most logical choice.

Samo and a first rounder for Cerra?  Tell him he’s dreaming!

BEST
Port Adelaide: Boak, Aliir, Amon, Wines, Bergman, Byrne-Jones, Rozee
Carlton: Walsh, Kennedy, Murphy, Dow

Ab
ps: Paddy Dow - 18 possessions 3 marks 2 tackles (doesn't sound too bad)

Once again. Unfathomable. Selection decisions are such a mystery at Carlton.

While the review may have identified it, doesn't guarantee the exec will implement necessary changes. I know that sounds cynical. However I have little confidence in the club's processes.

I understand your cynicism but, since the new president is behind the review, there must be a decent chance that its recommendations are taken seriously.

I just hope that they’re taken seriously and we no longer see blokes like Dow dropped when they were among our better players.

So is Dow getting the 'Henderson Treatment'??

Hopefully that's not the case with Dow that he wants out.....but wouldn't blame him. I've been critical of him but in the second half of the season he's been given a consistent run and found steady form....plenty to build on IMO. Unfortunately there's no chance Richmond will be giving up their first rounder for Dow....we can hope but we're dreaming. Unless there's some 3 way deal that involves Cerra, Dow, SPS etc.

If he doesn't want out, then it's hard to fathom that O'Brien would hold his spot and Dow doesn't. O'Brien had that one good game about a month ago and done little else since. If anyone comes to us with an offer for him we should take whatever we can get.

Dow not strong enough to be a top midfielder which limits where you play him. Fogarty can't kick more than 40 metres. Williams can't kick right foot and not strong enough. Lochie Obrien weak as water. Ploughman is a professional panicker when under pressure and can't read a game. Newnes, got the build to be anything and is really a nothing. Newman no right foot and weak physically, and the list goes on. Whether we see Sam Docherty pull on a Carlton guernsey again, remains to be seen. I know we all wish him the very best with this latest terrible battle.

We have got so many passengers, it's beyond a joke. IF my mail is correct, and Lyon has got the job,  I reckon he knows the weaknesses of the joint, as well as the strengths, and with a change of at least 6 personnel, maybe more, he knows that we have the players in Walsh, Weitering, Mackay,  a fully fit Cripps and a couple of others that he can build a team around to take us at least to the 8.

Has anybody listened to the pre game presser ? Bloody hell - 10 minutes of questions about the review, a question about Durdin and Kemp last week, and a bit about Betts at the end. What about the game boys ? Journos ? Hello ?
