I watched him a bit at U18 level and he was impressive but up till now has disappointed but how it was described he played today
was how he played in the TAC cup.

It’s much easier for the younger blokes wanting to show something to look decent in a scratch match when the regular blokes are using the game just to get some touch and the pressure around the ball is almost non existent.

Let’s see how he goes when he is up against Martin Cotchin Prestia in round 1 cause that’s his test.
He has always shown glimpses which almost teases fans but then struggles under pressure so I’m not surprised he goes ok in these sorts of pre season hit outs.

That first goal for Dow, he held his own in a marking contest that he would have been bumped off last year. Nothing wrong with building confidence prior to the big dance.

First half
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

To add to it, Crippa and Curnow didn't do anywhere near as much time as usual at centre bounces.

He played a half
2017-16th
2018-Wooden Spoon
2019-16th
2020-dare to dream? 11th is better than last I suppose
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time

I dont know what to make of those matches, one side might be super serious, one might be experimenting. To me it seemed we were the more serious of the two. William, Saad and to an extent Fogarty added what everyone thought they would, pace, clean hands and good disposal. Pitto is a mongrel which I like and showed he can go fwd, clunk a mark and kick a goal when needed.
I dont want to jinx him but Fish seems to have jumped a few levels and seems to be set for a really good year.

Special mention should go to pittonet today.

He was our only recognised ruck, had a chopout from Moore and Oscar Mcdonald.
Was fine in the ruck, but it was his around the ground marking that was a big help today. Kicked 2 goals as well.

If tdk is fit, I'd play pittonet and tdk and leave out casboult. Up forward... Harry and a resting ruck, soj as the 3rd tall, a resting mid and a couple smalls.

He did play ... and he was very, very quiet.  I don’t know whether he was injured or managed but I don’t think he had a touch.
