Gee should've take a shot.

Harris is head and shoulders above everyone else in the air....

....but can not kick the ones we need!!!!

Great effort by the girls but oh so frustrating.

Another 6 point defeat despite having the ball in our forward half for 90% of the last quarter. The dogs quick ones early in the last did the damage.

We need to get some players back.
Laloifi should be back next week.
Not sure how long Pound and Walker are out, but McEvoy is weeks away.

Couldn't hit a target to save themselves tonight. Fix the composure around the ground and in front of goal and we would have won by plenty. The Harris miss from the top of the square was unforgivable.

Two bursts of 3 easy quick goals. That was their 6 goals. Same issues as the men last year with those run on of goals. Last week we gave Collingwood 4 unpressured goals in a short time. That issue is going through the place. Means we are 0-2 rather than 2-0.

I'd like to see Edwards' efficiency. Cannot hit a target by hand or foot, and shouldn't be playing in defence because her turnovers hurt.

I try to be positive, but games like that really make me angry.
[1] We will not get in front of our opponents, not for love nor money.
[2] We cannot kick the ball to another Carlton player.
[3] Our forwards are useless, but not because they have no talent. We just don't kick the ball to them! Is it any surprise they get so few possessions? We kick it to their opponents all of the time!
[4] Our defence is lacking at the moment. Charlotte Wilson and Kez Harrington in particular are not getting the ball. We miss the defenders who are missing badly, especially Gab Pound.
[5] Mimi Hill, Abby McKay, Jess Hosking and Maddy Prespakis were excellent, but there wasn't enough done by too many others.
[6] We are handball happy, but I'm not surprised, considering how poorly we kick. 3 shots at goal from close range for 2 points is not good enough. Then Georgie Gee passes the ball to nobody when she should have had a shot.
[7] There is no way in hell that we are going to play in the GF this year. Not enough players doing enough.
[8] Bree Moody is slowly becoming the player we hope she will be, but, my God, can she make a mistake!

She struggled tonight. Her ball handling was ordinary and she couldn't find a team mate by foot. But she had plenty of fellows in that department.

Biggest problem is the backline. Leak too many goals. As a result the whole team has to flood back (when they can) to help out, which means we have nothing going the other way we we repel. Not sure what the missing players positions are (other than  Laloifi )  but if they aren't backline players we're cactus.

I'm wondering what has happened to Harrington and Wilson. Last year they were great in the air and helped provide a lot of run. Last week Muscles marked a fair bit, but fumbled under pressure and couldn't kick. This week she could take a mark. Kez came good in the last quarter, but she is just not producing the drive from half back.

At the moment, our defence appears to need someone tall and strong to take out the marking options. That would allow Wilson to intercept and Harrington to provide the run and carry (not to mention good disposal).
Mua would have helped, as she does provide run that we lacked badly. She also take intercept possessions.

The other things we need in defence is real pace. Neither Plane, Vernon or Edwards gives us that.

We BADLY miss Walker and Dalton: their pace and defensive pressure is enormous and they kick goals. They are also strong bodies who rarely fumble (although that took a while). O'Dea is trying, but she isn't getting to enough contests. Neither is Nik Stevens. Walker ability to run and handle the ball could have got us at least another 2 goals tonight. She is difficult to get off the ball.

I would make some changes. Too many players are not contributing enough.

Two weeks in a row we've given away a run of unpressured in short time.  Kills in the women's game.
