Remember the olden days, the coaching manual stated something like ......... off a stationary hand ............ I even recall some controversy in Diesel's day, because he would use the hand holding the ball to throw the ball backwards onto his approaching fist. It enabled him to hit 30m hand passes, but from that to what we have today is a long long way!

Someone pls tell me more about the Vin Waite David Parkin incident, I have never heard anything about this.

Sorry DBS, I made it sound like Vinny had KOd the coach when it happened during a Carlton-Hawthorn game. The Matthews brothers hunted Vinny after Parkin was carried off and I suspect that he regretted his actions. I believe that there was an incident where the actual coach was dropped by a player.
