What a brilliantly run event the Aus GP is every year, seems to get better. I think anyone would enjoy a day there. I would highly recommend anyone who hasn't seen a race meeting live, spend the Sat there, 2 F1 sessions (practice and qualifying), an F2 sprint race, and F3 sprint race, V8 Supercars, plenty of food, drinks, stuff for the kiddies. Great value for money, well to all concerned.
PS if your going GA for a few days, spend the Friday finding your fave spot, get the super early Sat and Sun to get that spot and sent up "camp" with your mates/family.
PSS My fave spots are inside of that track at turn 6 and inside of the track at exit of turn 2.

Agree.
Taken my (now) 9yo son the last couple years and he could spend the day there without ever looking at the track. Was talking to a chick from Canada who has been to the montreal Grand Prix a few times and she has said the Aussie event is so much better because there is nothing else to do at 'her' event.
Know people who have been to Silverstone. Same thing.
I was at the first Autin Grand Prix, basically the same thing.
I've been to probably 15 Melbourne Grand Prix weekends (usually on Saturdays) and its always quality.

It's amazing how petulant these F1 driver types can be, last night we saw a number of them spitting the dummy.
It was an infantile demonstration of privileged ultra-rich sportspeople expecting to always be front of the queue no matter who has to make sacrifices to put them in the box seat.
Most of them aren't anywhere near as good as they claim to be, and the moment events look like exposing that they start blaming everybody else!

I agree that Nando's response to having to give the spot back was selfish but also like how bad some of them behave when things go against them it definitely adds theatre to what at times can be boring robot viewing. Don't agree they are not as good as they claim to be - these drivers are the very best of their profession and just have to watch these guys race in heavy rain and you quickly see they freaks and have balls like cantaloupe.
Max was in a foul mood and just cant handle any situation where he has real competition. But again i find it entertaining as the drivers are who they are - they are winners and cant accept anything but to finish on the highest podium.
Oscar is a gem and could end up being the best F1 driver we have had for decades.

I remember Vettel going through a similar stage, behaving "like Max" and also doing "a Norris" to Mark Webber. After Seb grew out of that he became a much better driver, I suspect Max will do the same.
I use to label Vettel as "Seb the Breaker", because he basically drove the car into the ground indifferent to team or engineering requests, much like Max did last night. No matter how good you are as a pilot, you can't fly your plane through a brick wall!
Not sure Max is aided by his father's behaviour, his old many tends to be as churlish as Max.

Overall I always thought he was very gentle on the car, one of the few drivers who actually "understands" the engineering of a race car. Majority (even Max) are steering wheel attendants.

I assume you mean Lando. I think he quickly got the message when his race engineer told him you need a team and team mates to win champions. Oscar has done plenty for Lando to date, it was time to make a withdrawal.

As an aside, wasn't Nando Calrissian the famous "Space Judas" from Star Wars, stabbed Han Solo in the back, or maybe he was the famous peri peri chicken entrepreneur? :o
