Assuming the media quotes are correct and she hasn't been verbaled, I don't think it's a good idea for Tayla Harris to talk up her physical intensity for 2020.
Stuff like that has a way of biting whoever says it on the ar5e! Actions are far more important than words.

Why do you always comment on something, without providing the source/quotes/details of what you are commenting on? Radio reported she is quoted as stating she is going to "Run straight through opponents in 2020." FWIW; A quick Google of "Tayla Harris" finds this as the very first news record, https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/i-wi...53q3a.html So there is some substance to the claim. Although it sounds like it has been dramatised by radio it's still not a good idea to tell the world you'll mow people down front on! Quote:"I will be mowing people down front and centre and there will be no one spared," Harris said That's like daring or setting opponents a challenge!

Good on her.
It shows an intensity that has largely been lacking from all navy blue wearers of late. No longer are we happy with sneaking under the radar. We have a big target on our back and we'll take it as it comes. Personally i think its great for Tayla as when she is left to her own devices she plays too nice. Her own words said she was always too worried about hurting her opponent, be that in the ring or on the oval. If we can get her to 'play angry' and have a point to prove, then i think it will help her footy. We need a big season from her this year.

Go Tayla I say. I had a chat with Lucy Mcevoy a few days ago, she is champing at the bit, has been doing all of her preseason training with the midfield, can't wait for Round 1

I'm sure they'll test her ability to avoid suspension, God help her if she gets in a scuffle and hooks somebody, that'll leave her fodder for Danger's MRP!

It seems that the failure of the expansion teams to record a win in round 1 has brought out the anti-AFLW trolls with a vengeance :
I heard a bloke on the wireless today claiming that the money the AFL is pumping into the AFLW means that grass roots footy is under-funded and is withering on the vine. Trigger and Alister Nicholson didn't pull him up, which was a little disappointing, but (a) the amount of money the AFL is "pumping" into the AFLW is minuscule in terms of the AFL budget and (b) grass roots footy now involves girls and boys. Furthermore, the problems with grass roots footy are a lot more complex than AFL funding. I appreciate that AFLW is not everyone's cup of tea, and that's fine. If you don't like it, don't watch it ... and don't bitch about it. PS Virginia revealed today that Swan McKay gave her the "Trigger" nickname and she seems quite proud both of the nickname and its creator.

It was interesting listening to Kez Harrington on the wireless last night. She said that in previous seasons they had a game plan and would follow it regardless. This season the game plan is more flexible and is changed to counter opposition tactics. I guess it reflects the evolution of the women’s game and Harf’s growing confidence in his team.
