2017 Round 6 In game thread - Carlton v Sydney
#21
Harf claiming 100% of Sydney's score has come from our turnovers.

We're in this with a chance, it's hard to believe that Sydney played in last year's grand final.
A few of our scrubbers are having decent games so if Gibbs, Murph and Cripps can get into gear we could embarrass them.
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

Worried about Weitering, excluding that head clash, too many times he's on the bench getting a minor bump or scratch attended. Our club's turning a kid who generally had white line fever into a high maintenance worry wort!

Agree on Murph - being used as a spare parts man all over the ground. One of our better players so far.

Is there a different holding the ball rule for them than us?  We tackle and they drop it half a dozen times, for no call - fair enough that's how it is being called.  But then we get a couple in a row paid against us????

And don't get me started on Charlie's hand brushing Henney in that marking contest - in comparison to what cas and sos are copping at the other end

too many of their players are on their defensive side of every contest. Everytime the ball goes to them they turn and handball 2 or 3 times and their out. While they are doing this others run to the wings and that is where the footy is kicked.
We ball watch too much and need to stay with our player.
We also seem to run toward our player with the ball instead of side ways and this always seems to allow the defender to make a contest.
2024... Moir of the same to come

There's different rules for the Swans in general.
I looked at stats pre game, and we've been getting a good run in terms of frees this year, but over the years, the absolute main reason I Fecking hate the Swans more than any other team is the favourable treatment they get from the umpires... Week in and week out. It sh1ts me to tears.

Fisher, finally someone who can hit a pass!

Williamson is a keeper, reminds me of Rhys-Jones, time to burn whenever he's got the ball!

Nice sneaky goal, but weak as p1ss from the umpires not to have stopped play. FFS a bloke out cold. Stop the game.

The rules changed this year, the umpires don't have to stop play until a natural opportunity occurs, unless the cart or stretcher interferes with play in which case they can stop immediately.

Obviously the cart driver is a Swans man, he was on the ground before the stretcher!
