Getting fit.  His groin was cactus the last time he played seniors.  Id say we are nursing him through the rest of the year, and having another look at our potential discards. He will survive the cull, and there isnt much left to play for, although he could be a late in.

Yes.
What he needs more than anything is senior games and with the season shot I can't understand why he's not in the ones.
What's to gain by having him run around on cow paddocks?

Maybe they think the intensity, speed and relentlessness repetitive running at AFL level will be detrimental to his recovery.

That's really the big difference between AFL and all other levels, at AFL there is no moment to recover or recuperate.
