Doubt we'll see Everitt in navy blue again.

I assume that Everitt has been told to clean out his locker?
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

For all of his flaws Everitt is the only bloke in the side who consistently kicks goals. Not suggesting he is a champion, just saying is all.
Just re-signed our premier key forward who averages <1 goal per game.

Everitt wouldn't have been named as an emergency if that was the case.

There are two reasons why Everitt will be on our list next season:

1. he's not as bad as some folk think; and
2. no-one else will want him.

We need him to gain that depth we so desparately need.

He is a good kick at goal. Everitt. Just needs to get more of the footy and work harder at ground level.
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

Everitt plays his best when we have two key forwards. When we had one he essentially got the defender that generally went to our 2nd key forward, hence both struggling with that and with the slow delivery. Not surprising he kicked multiple goals mid year when we had the two. Even last year, he kicked 31, and Casboult 24 from 16 games, both rucking and forward, when Hendo was there. Hendo didn't have a real crack but still took the heat of multiple defenders freeing the other two.

Take away Sticks and Fev we've never huge key forwards kick huge goals. Doesn't mean they're not useful, in fact a couple were absolute stars.

In every game I have watched this year Everitt has spent far more time on the wing than in the forward line.  He has played as a key forward from time to time but that has not been very often.  Whether we play one or two key forwards is largely irrelevant to Everitt's role and performance.

What Everitt does really well is run hard to provide an option when we are going forward.  His running patterns from the wing into the forward 50 and inside 50 are very good and he creates plenty of marking targets as well as drawing defenders away from the forwards.

Could be to try maintain his trade value at a  respectable level?
If we hang on to him for next year and he kicks a goal or two when selected then so be it AFAIC, I can live with that until we can turn up a better option.
Reality always wins in the end.

Suns have three first round picks this year and I reckon he will go to the suns for a third rounder.
