Waite was a very long time ago. Barring injury McKay will play. Sooner rather than later. I wouldn't be surprised if he were in next week.

These are the highlights from today's game. Looking at these I would go with Jones. He really put in and did some nice things. I wouldn't be playing McKay yet.
Look for Hisham Kerbatieh's snap near the end of the video. THAT is the sort of thing we want to see in the seniors. It was why we recruited Gallucci: pity he played so little. I would rookie Kerbatieh. But that is me: our recruiters have had different opinions in the past. Caleb Daniel comes to mind..... Smile

2 gimmes yesterday win the game. Buddy had 3, but usually the smart hard working footballers get them... Coincidence?

Not at all. Good positioning is good football.

Would have loved to have been there but busy in SpannerTown (Canberra) on work. Colder than a politicians promise here, but then Melbourne's not much better. (Really pretty driving in, Spanner).

Be interesting to see who comes in for Charlie... between Jaksch, Jones and Everitt. Bearing in mind we're up against the Dawks you might want someone with a little mongrel for the contest which would favour Jones. Of course McKay is a chance too... Gorringe?

You'd think that Whiley would be a monty for Kerridge even if Kerridge comes up okay.

I read somewhere that NB's were previously beaten by 10 goals.
Like our seniors (9 at least, but for a certain free to Phillips that was overlooked. Would have been 10 - AND we'd have drawn with a top side), there's been an incredible improvement against the respective sides. That's just incredible whichever way you look at it.

Jones was good; plenty of his trademark chest marks but some nice overhead marks too.

Sounds really promising, specially as our drafted forward stocks are jinxed this year and unlikely to get a good run at it. Just the same, we need the more experienced forwards to at least take the heat of the best defenders. What I've seen (limited) of the Jones boy, suggests his composure, marking, and kicking for goal is pretty solid. For mine, it's more his reading the play and resultant mistiming that needs developing, if that's possible. Whoever we bring in, Levi needs a hand. After young Charlie went down, he was back to attracting more defenders than he could reasonably compete against. That must get very frustrating I imagine...
Happy for Jones to get a call up.

Sadly Jones is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Great VFL player who will never make the grade. Harry is just biding his time.

Clem is on borrowed time alongside Foster and Dick.

Everitt and Tutt are gone.

Jaksch will probably be given more time.
