Not possible to get worse. They wanted out and played accordingly all year.

Well done to Cripps.

But how bad is our club that a kid who has only played 23 games in his career wins our B&F?

Indeed. As much as I'm happy for Curnow et al to earn a place in the top 10, it is an indictment on our list when that happens.

Frankly, the fact that Carrazzo ended up on 16 games and retired in his final year and in our top 10 is a bigger concern.

Maybe the game plan wasnt the problem but rather how it was adhered to?

IN any case, lets just hope it gets better next year, although I have fears that it might be another tough year unless we get some growth pretty quickly.

Game plan was rubbish and the players stuck by it as much as it's creator stuck by them.

That's certainly one valid way of looking at it. Alternately, you could say that Carrots is very underrated.

Good work by Cripps, bad luck for the skipper missing the last few games but those are the breaks.
I'm rapt to see Tuohy, Curnow and Bell do so well, three rookies that we plucked from nowhere and they finish top 5.
I hope Bell has silenced the doubters with that effort, he's vital to our future and so is Tuohy.
They both have lots of improvement still to come, but so does Cripps which is bordering on scary.
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

Make Cripps part of the leadership group with his job to be the voice of the 'Under 22's". Let him hone his leadership skills amongst his peers with the expectation that the captaincy will be his in about 2018.

Sounds from various reports that he is already the voice of the team on the ground.

Perhaps we need to make some of the church mice leaders and force them to take some responsibility for their future!

Did the British Officer Class have the right idea when they lined up the Enlisted or Conscripted on the front line? They fought or they died!
