Usually its what happens when you swing, and take a punt on what you end up considering a loser. Biden didnt do anything really wrong, but the way they got rid of him wont help the swing voters think they made the right choice last time.

Prof Alan Lichtman is sticking by his prediction that the Democratic contender will win the White House race. However, he conceded, “It’s always possible that something so cataclysmic and so unprecedented could change the pattern of history.”
I think that's called covering your butt 
Lichtman claimed that he has “never experienced” this much “hate” since releasing his prediction and I think that reflects how polarising the campaign has been.

This US election is not just about political change, there is generational change happening as well.
I find it a bit disturbing that Trump is pandering to internet conspiracy, and in doing so denigrates many people including US war veterans in the process. I suppose he thinks the young out number the old, and so he can disregard offending a smaller demographic. It very much looks like they are doing this at the moment with the horrendous word play around various fascist underpinnings.
If Trump loses what happens to the GOP next, do they right the ship or become even more extreme?

Slashing and removing any impediments to maximizing profit and minimizing competition from China. So tariffs on Chinese EV's, cutting workers rights and wages, cutting environmental regulations etc.
The only word these types understand is "more." They are insatiable. Musk and his ilk must be the wealthiest or close to the wealthiest people in history. Their fortunes increased several times over during covid, Trump gave them the mother of all tax cuts a few years ago, now as soon as Harris was nominated they are hitting her up, whinging about Capital Gains Tax. It's never enough.
