3.1 Million folk(2022 figures) were living in RV's and Vans which wouldnt be in those above figures either and those stats would have increased in 2024. Having a home is becoming a privilege rather than a right in many countries, dont think Trump or Kamala are going to fix the homeless problem in the USA or Albanese or Dutton in Aus.

The main technical problem with the bulk of the reports seems to be that the figures aren't collected by a Federal authority, but submitted by states that use widely varying methods to generate estimates.
I'd expect them to vastly under-estimated given most surveys are only completed in and around major cities. The recent sudden jump though is explained by the removal of COVID moratoriums, in that regard some of those figures will be coming out of defaulting rent or mortgage cases.

Id suggest vastly under reported and for sure its a global problem, you only have to look at Canada which was once at the top of lists for being the best place to live in the world and its also come under pressure for ignoring the homeless crisis.

Interesting the Sheriff that claimed his deputy officers had intercepted an assassin turns out to be a card carrying republican who is lobbying to be pre-selected as the republican candidate for the election of the next state governor.
But get this, the Sheriff was exposed by Fox and competing republican candidates, who broadcast that the FBI had confirmed there was no valid assassination attempt. Seems like the Sheriff is a republican but not Fox's preferred republican.
The whole story kicked off as a beat up by Marjorie Taylor Green who started the freakshow and fear mongering using her online media accounts.
