This game is at 1405 at Ikon Park.
The Roos are 15th, we're 3rd. They lost last week to Frankston.
Teams not available as yet; no big surprise.
I'm hoping Honey is fit to go, but I'm not expecting big things from him yet. He'll be pretty rusty.
It would also be good if Oscar mac were fit, but that hasn't happened for a while now. He back is a serious issue that could well cost him his career.

We often argue about the merits of players.
We see things differently and rate players on different criteria.
I tend to give preference to players who give a 100% effort, sometimes over players with better skills.
Simon Wiggins was a player whose place in the side was often questioned, but he was a particular favourite of mine.
As a result we often find ourselves at odds with team selections...and question 'Why?' player X is getting a game while obviously more talented players find themselves treading water in the second side.
The simple answer is that coaches have set certain standards for individuals to be promoted and those players aren't meeting them.
Team balance could be another reason.
We have the situation at the moment where there are queries over the continued presence of some players in the side
While we're still a developing team these criteria for selection may be worth the pain....but there must come a point when it has to be the very best side we can put on the ground.
I've no doubt selections are made with a lot more information than we supporters have access to, but when there is almost unanimous questioning of a selection...well, can we all be so wrong!

Interesting to see how we respond this week.
Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.
Someone has to play well.

It is apparent that posts made yesterday have disappeared and members are experiencing errors.
After many years keeping our site going, Spanner advised that he no longer had the time to continue and we've been operating on a wing and a prayer since then. Fortunately, no glitches have occurred ... until now. I am concerned that, if nothing is done, the site could become inoperable.
Does anyone have the IT skills and time to (a) investigate the current problems and (b) look after the site's ongoing maintenance?
