It's beyond the joke now.
We need an election.
John Alexander has now resigned but all the dual citizens still haven't been shaken out.
All legislation passed is under a cloud.
That would include any legislation passed after the SSM plebiscite is determined.

Just interested in folks opinions….
We’ve been operating for close to two decades now. At our peak our membership numbered in the thousands with probably a hundred + active members posting regularly.
Just in terms of the current site…since 2014
New topics have more than halved (942-416)
New posts have dropped by 20000 (53611-35378)
New members down from 133 to 30
Most online at one time has halved (330-179)
Page views down by nearly a million (4172638-3498045)
There is still a couple of months to go but these figures won’t get close to that 2014 level.
Now an obvious factor impacting is the number of facebook groups that have sprung up. I’m a member of a few of those… but the decline does raise a number of questions.
1) Is there still a place for the anonymous forum like ours or are we a dying breed?
2) Do we need to change to remain viable in the current climate?
3) What changes would people like to see?
4) What other Carlton sites do you visit/ are a member of?
5) Is there anything in particular you don’t like about the site in its current form.
6) What do you like that keeps you posting/ viewing here

Young Ash Barty just cleaned up Angie Kerber in straight sets to be the first semi finalist in the Elite Trophy in Zuhai.
Served the match out with back to back aces.
Remarkable turnaround for this young lady and much kudos to her!

Been plenty of talk about how many friday night games the men have got over the 22 games in 2018. How about the women?
http://www.afl.com.au/womens/matches
They also kick of the season, this time against the pies (again) on a friday night.
Back up in week 2 against GWS....on a friday night.
Then a Saturday night.....before another friday night....and back to saturday night.
Our first 5 games are all night matches, our last 2 - day.
We have more friday night matches than any other team in the comp.
Carlton Friday night specialists in men and women?!

Rumour is that we will be playing the Cats at Geelong next season!
We have no home ground because of the AFL and now we're going to have to play the only ViC club with a distinct home ground advantage. I am utterly sick of Geelong being pampered by the state Govt, AFL and the media.
How the F#*+K are we supposed to get to watch the game?!!

So I asked this last year and tried to create it as a thread different from 'predictions'. I am not so sure that worked out well.
So in general, be it gameplay, results etc.. What do you as a support of our football club expect from the club this year?
For me
It is no surprise that I was behind a full rebuild last year. I wanted it to far exceed what happened and part of that puzzle did finally happen this year, with a very good footballer in Bryce leaving and our age profile lowering. To me though this doesn't drastically alter what I expect of a football club. You don't sign up to follow teams with the agreement they can non be competitive for too long. If Carlton had gone real hard last year and traded all their elder players i would have give this year as their last pass. But now I EXPECT and DEMAND results from the football club. That is not so say they have failed me to date, but Carlton has to now be relevant in terms of winning football games. We can't have every win an 'upset' win.
I need Carlton to be finishing 10th or higher this year and to do so with about 8-10 wins. I also need our percentage to be higher than in previous years by quite a long way and I need to see at least a handful of games where we show that we can put 100 points on the scoreboard.
If we want to entice a big talent in next years Free Agency, then we need to be on the verge of something. We need to be able to sell 3 things. The club, the results & of course in Free Agency the money. We want Wines or Lynch or the likes.... Then we need to show they are not here as the savior, they are joining a genuinely exciting organisation.
Anything less than these results for me and we need to be questioning if we have the right people in charge, at all levels of the club (well perhaps excluding SOS who is killing it).
Oh and I EXPECT to see a functioning forward line this year
