AFL 2024 Rd 21: Carlton vs Collingwood
Another game we should have won, but didn't. Very frustrating.

Trends:
[1] There were 9 voters this round, which was disappointing. Please do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate.

[2] The rating was a 7.63, which is almost an C-. There was also a very large spread in the ratings; some of us were very dissatisfied.

[3] 15 players managed a mention this week. This is becoming the norm, something I am not disappointed about.

[4] The average vote this week was 26, which is low. Not many voters, so not many votes.

[5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which was positive. We usually win with such contributions.

[6] George Hewett and Patrick Cripps tied for top spot this week, both managing 220 votes

[7] One player managed votes from everyone this week: George Hewett. Cripps missed from 1 voter, as did Weitering and Elijah Hollands.

[8] Elijah Hollands was the main youngster to make a decent contribution. The rest were pretty quiet, but a lot of players were not as significant as they could be.

[9] Our forwards didn't have a lot of impact this week. Most votes came from the midfield and defence.

Votes:

Hewett, George  220

AFL 2024 Rd 22: Carlton vs Hawthorn
Our worst performance for the year. Losing half a dozen players didn't help either.

Trends:
[1] There were 6 voters this round, which is the equal lowest in my time doing this. Granted that we were terrible, but we really need more voters. Please do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate. It makes our statistics more reliable. It is a part of the CSC experience.

[2] The rating was a 5.11, which is an F. This sort of score hasn't been seen since the 'bad old days'.

[3] 12 players managed a mention this week. In past years, this wouldn't be bad, but in these days of efforts from most players, it is low.

[4] The average vote this week was 17. I've never seen an average score this low.

[5] 2 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which was very low. Not many voters, not many scores.

[6] Matthew Kennedy stood out for top spot this week, managing 294 votes

[7][limegreen]Two[/color][/b] player managed votes from everyone this week: Kennedy and Acres

[8] Ollie Hollands was the main youngster to make a decent contribution. Lachie Cowan wasn't bad either.

[9] Our forwards didn't have a lot of impact this week. Most votes came from the midfield and defence.

I didn’t vote for the Hawthorn game Crash.  I had another commitment that prevented me from watching the game live and I just couldn’t bring myself to watch a replay.  It was the first game I’ve not watched in many years.

I don't blame you. I miss sometimes when we lose. I can't stand to watch the replay either. Sad And if ever there was a reason for not watching us, this round was it.

AFL 2024 Rd 23: Carlton vs West Coast
Considering the players we had out and that we played over in Perth, this was a win for the ages. We so smashed the Weagles that they didn't even turn up the next week after having 3 wins on the trot.

Trends:
[1] There were 14 voters this round, which is more than double last week and nearly double the same round last year.  Please do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate. It makes our statistics more reliable. It is a part of the CSC experience.

[2] The rating was a 9.93, which is an A. This is the 3rd highest rating for the year.

[3] 15 players managed a mention this week. It is probably par for the course these days, but it is a huge improvement over last week.

[4] The average vote this week was 30, which is more than respectable.

[5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is more like it.

[6] Patrick Cripps stood out for top spot this week, managing 475 votes, the largest score of the season and really Judd-esque.  Hewett was 2nd with 273 votes.

[7]Two[/b] player managed votes from everyone this week: Cripps and Kemp. Hewett and Pittonet missed from one voter.

[8] Our youngsters made a mark this week. Kemp got over 100 votes. Elijah and Ollie Hollands also were significant votes getters. Cowan got a couple as well, as did Corey Durdin.

[9] Votes were spread around all zones this week, although the mids did best. Our mids were dominant.

AFL Finals 2024  Carlton vs Brisbane at the 'Gabba
What a disaster to finish the season. Sad

Trends:
[1] There were 11 voters this time, which is more than reasopnable considering our 1st half. What a time to play opur worst half of footy for the year! Please do vote in 2025, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate. It makes our statistics more reliable. It is a part of the CSC experience.

[2] The rating was a 6.33, which is an E+. No major surprise, considering how bad we were for half a game, but it probably underestimates our effort after half time.

[3] 14 players managed a mention this week.

[5] 3 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is something considering that we lost the way we did.

Congratulations to Patrick Cripps on winning the Jim Park Award with a whopping 6063 votes! No surprise that he won the Brownlow after a season like that!

Congratulations to Sam Walsh and Tom de Koning for 2nd and 3rd places, respectively. Considering that both were hampered by serious injuries, that is a pretty good effort.
It also shows just how injury-hit we've been this year.
It also shows just how much Tom de Koning has improved this season!
