Didn't realise at the time, but was a privilege growing up listening to Mike. Feel sorry for today's youngsters who have BT and the like

And don't we appreciate it when a commentator comes along, describes the game well, takes us on the emotional ride of the game well... and has left his/her ego & self-importance outside the commentary box. However, I'd love to see prospective callers given a bunch of archival recordings from the Mike Williamson era and told to come back when they've listened to 100 hours
