2018 VFL Rd 9: Northern Blues vs Geelong at Ikon
#1
Yes, we play Geelong this Saturday at Ikon Park at 1400. This is a Double Header, with the VFLW match starting at 1130. So it will be a big day at Carlton. I'll see if I can get there. I definitely won't be able to get to Sydney.

NORTHERN BLUES v. GEELONG

Round 9 – 02/06/2018  02:00PM
IKON Park

Northern Blues

B: 7. M. Blakey, 43. J. Glass-McCasker, 49. A. Schumacher
HB: 29. J. Hill, 25. K. Keppel, 45. M. Shaw
C: 54. J.  Garlett, 9. S.  Fisher, 51. A.  Mullett
HF: 3. J. Palmer, 5. T. De Koning, 2. C. Polson
F: 57. E. Penrith, 19. H. McKay, 16. J. Velissaris
R: 36. M. Lobbe, 32. N. Graham, 1. T. Wilson
Int: 14. J. Lynch, 22. C. McCabe, 12. B. Myers, 24. F. Pearce, 35. M. Stavrou, 6. G. Strachan, 55. J. Williams
23P: 17. M. Harman

In: A. Mullett, J. Velissaris, J. Lynch, M. Harman, H. McKay, J. Williams, M. Stavrou, B. Myers

Out: A. Phillips,  J. Silvagni,  A. Federico,  T. Williamson,  H. Macreadie

This does not read so well: 2 Carton boys in, but 4 go out. Only one of those to the seniors. Williamson is done for the year in all probability. Macreadie is also injured. Not quite sure why Phillips is out.  Sad
Lobbe and de Koning are the rucks, with Harman as a back-up. Not a lot of power in the forward half, but Harry McKay will be a good target.

Geelong

B: 62. C. Floyd, 30. T. House, 39. Z. Guthrie

23P: 72. T. McMullan

It's quite possible that all 4 of our teams (2 men's, 2 women's) could be wooden spooners this year.

I think the VFLW side might not end up with the spoon, but the rest are giving it a shake. Amazingly bad.

Yes, you might be right. VFLW currently sitting 7th out of 13, 2 wins, 2 losses.

Graham and Mullett are tweener players IMO - too good for VFL, not good enough for AFL. Frustrating.

Four goals. There isn't much left on the two's is there.  Simply uncompetitive and that isn't acceptable.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?
