Not the result we wanted, mainly due to our own errors, although the umpiring did not help. Lots of good signs, but not quite enough.
Remember:
[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.
[3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F.

Good, but not good enough. Too many critical errors at critical times.
Votes:
[3] Patrick Cripps
[2.5] Marc Murphy
[2.5] Sam Docherty
[2] Matthew Kreuzer
[2] Alex Silvagni
[1] Sam Rowe
[1] Kade Simpson
[0.5] Bryce Gibbs
[0.5] Caleb Marchbank
Explanations:
[3] Patrick Cripps: An excellent game, and a very complete one. Not only did he get 30 possessions and have his usual number of clearances and tackles, but he took 11 marks, most of which were contested. He couldn’t catch some of the ‘Aint mids from behind, but that was probably the only down side to his game.
[2.5] Marc Murphy: Got lots of Boos from the idiots in Red, white and black, but was very effective.
[2.5] Sam Docherty: Another very strong game from Doc. He took some towering marks and showed a lot of dash from defence.
[2] Matthew Kreuzer: Beaten in the tap outs, but excellent around the ground. He took some very good marks and got clearances. He did his best in the ruck and did quite well around the ground. However, he was clearly beaten in the e centre square.
[2] Alex Silvagni: An excellent job at negating the St Kilda tall forwards.
[1] Sam Rowe: Also did very well strangling the he St Kilda taller forwards.
[1] Kade Simpson: Provided a lot of run and carry from defence.
[0.5] Bryce Gibbs: Solid game in the middle.
[0.5] Caleb Marchbank: Easily beat Riewoldt.
Honourable Mentions:
Daisy Thomas: Daisy’s 1st half was worth votes, but he drifted out of the game thereafter and made some shocking errors that cost goals.
Simon White: Almost vote worthy, with a very consistent effort as a defender.
Lachie Plowman: Not enough of the ball, but a solid effort all the same.

If we were winning more games Kreuzer would be a good smokie for the Brownlow.
