I'm reading the penultimate book of The Warlord Chronicles atm and some of the action last night made me think of the descriptions of clashes of shield walls in battles in early medieval times. Not quite as full of blood and gore but pretty brutal at times, especially from NSW.
Reality always wins in the end.

What about the try disallowed for the forward throw that clearly wasn't forwards. I thought NSW were bent over far worse TBH.
