2017 Rd 6 Jim Park Voting Carlton vs Sydney
#18
I often find games like this harder to vote on than I do the worse performances. I want to give everyone a mention.
However, that is not possible. However, I don’t think we had a passenger on the day.
Team: B+
If our kicking were that little bit better, I would have given the guys an ‘A’.

Votes:
[2] Alex Silvagni:
[2] Sam Docherty
[2] Kade Simpson
[1.5] Matthew Kreuzer
[1.5] Matthew Wright
[1] Marc Murphy
[1] Bryce Gibbs
[1] Ed Curnow
[1] Levi Casboult
[0.5] Tom Williamson
[0.5] Caleb Marchbank
[0.5] Sam Petrevski – Seton
[0.5] Patrick Cripps

Explanations:
[2] Alex Silvagni: Deserved about 5 votes in beating Franklin so convincingly. He looked totally at home in his first game for us and his body work was excellent.
[2] Sam Docherty: Almost 40 possessions and a great day’s running. His attack from defence set us up time and again.
[2] Kade Simpson: Simmo’s best game for the season. He was a real presence in defence and the midfield.
[1.5] Matthew Kreuzer: The big lad had his most effective game for the season. His tap work was excellent and his 2 goals crucial.
[1.5] Matthew Wright: Where most of our forwards couldn’t hit the side of a barn from inside, Wright manages to kick inspirational goals and make good tackles.
[1] Marc Murphy: In any other week, Murphy’s game would have stuck out for its effectiveness. 30+ possessions again and lots of pressure.
[1] Bryce Gibbs: Excellent job in the middle, but overshadowed by some great performances.
[1] Ed Curnow: Ed’s form has been ordinary. But he had a very good game this day.
[1] Levi Casboult: Not a huge number of possessions, but his marking was excellent and his kicking improved.
[0.5] Tom Williamson: Particularly early in the game when we needed something, Tom was inspirational coming out of defence.
[0.5] Caleb Marchbank: Very solid again with 20+ possessions.
[0.5] Sam Petrevski – Seton: His first 20+ possession game and nearly all of the possessions were good ones. He looked brilliant.
[0.5] Patrick Cripps: Almost 30 possessions and did the grunt work in the middle. His fine mark and goal were highlights.

Honourable Mentions:
Billie Smedts: Showed some good signs.
Simon White: Very solid.
Sam Rowe: Excellent in defence.
Jacob Weitering: Struggled with injury but took some great contested marks.
Live Long and Prosper!
