AFL 2024 Rd 19: Carlton vs North Melbourne
We won. We were good in patches, but not a 4 quarter effort.
Trends:
[1] There were 11 voters this round, which is very low for a win, even as unimpressive as this one was. Please do vote, win, lose or draw: it is something we appreciate.
[2] The rating was a 8.61, which is almost an B-. There was also a very large spread in the ratings; some of us were still dissatisfied.
[3] 16 players managed a mention this week. This is becoming the norm, something I am not disappointed about.
[4] The average vote this week was 29, which is the lowest for a win all season.
[5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which just hasn't happened until recently. I think it is a very positive sign.
[6] Patrick Cripps managed an impressive 336 votes to be BOG this week, his 8th BOG for the season and his 14th time in the top three positions and his 3rd BOG in a row! George Hewett and Charlie Curnow filled the other two places.
[7] One player managed votes from everyone this week; Patrick Cripps.
[8] Of our youngsters, a couple made minor contributions. Not bad efforts, but I'd like one or two of our youngsters to make a match-winning contribution sometimes. It would take the heat of guys like Cripps and Walsh.
[9] Our mids were probably he most significant, although Curnow and Weitering really showed out at either end.
