Yep, why was it included?

It feels either a political or mental health issue, and either seems a waste of funds.

Probably a bit of both, trying to be fair, there maybe issues of phantom symptoms after hormone treatments, surgery etc where a transgender female might experience pain or other problems similar to those being studied etc but that is for a different study and separate funding if available.
This study is catering to a majority group with specific criteria and you cant include every medical segway, as we all know there are many conditions that affect minorities but the money/facilities just isnt there and why we have the many fundraisers we see today.
