Jack blacks previous interviews shows his thoughts on trump long before recent events backs up my theory (and others) that his actions are about saving face (and his career) until all this blows over.

During an interview with Conan O’Brien in 2017, Jack Black was asked if he believed Tenacious D’s “I’m the best and everything I do is amazing shtick” had influenced the former US president.

“Yes. In fact I feel Donald Trump saw a Tenacious D concert, because that’s our whole thing, just like we are the greatest band in the world, no one can touch us, we are the best,” Black responded.

“And he just saw us and said, ‘I’m going to use that technique. I’m the greatest president. I got all the greatest people…’ and then he used it and became president.

“And now, when we go out and perform Tenacious D, I always have like, a little twinge of guilt, because it’s like this evil f***ing warlock stole our magic, but just took out all the irony. And it worked and now he’s destroying the universe.”

There is also old footage of Jack black at his Hollywood star reveal where he signs off his acceptance speech as "Donald Trump is a piece of sh*t" unprompted.

He is no fan of trump but he is trying to keep his newfound family friendly image in tact with a lot of Hollywood movies in the works currently. He can't afford to get cancelled right now.

Its damage control and it'd come from higher ups because of the international headlines it created because someone posted a video which our politicians sensationalised.


....and yes, I am pissed off that j don't get to see them (again) and now have to chase a refund.
