AFL 2024 Rd 17: Carlton vs GWS
Very disappointing. 1st quarter and last quarter were good. The rest were terrible.
Trends:
[1] There were 12 voters this round, which is par for the course when we lose. Please do vote: it is something we appreciate.
[2] The rating was a 7.28, which is almost an D+. This isn't that bad, but considering we lost by 2 goals...
[3] 13 players managed a mention this week, which, in the past, has been more than adequate. But for these days, when 15+ is the norm, it shows how ordinary we were.
[4] The average vote this week was 24!, even with us sharing the votes around! That is 3rd worst for 2024.
[5] 5 players managed 100 votes or more this week.
[6] Patrick Cripps managed an impressive 340 votes to be BOG this week, his 6th BOG for the season and his 12th time in the top three positions. Matthew Kennedy and Harry McKay filled the other two places.
[7] Three player managed votes from everyone this week; Patrick Cripps, Matthew Kennedy and Harry McKay.
[8] Our younger, less experienced players were generally missing this round, with only Jordan Boyd making an impression.
[9] This was a game where none of the sectors of the team made significant contributions. The top 3 vote getters were mids, and a key forward, where both those lines were down.
