I doubt it's staged, but I'm not at all surprised it's happened, you could feel it building because Trump's vitriol is a threat to democracy and the American way, not just his political opponents but everybody including many of his corporate bedfellows.
Like I said the other week, if Trump wins he best keep his head down because you know from history how the USA resolves these sorts of issues. You can't light fires for your own benefit and not risk being burned. People will assume it is political opponents, but the actors in this event could well be coming from his own side of politics, he brings attention to the wrong people and the wrong places, and many do not want the focus.
When you see politicians like Lydia Thorpe parroting extremism for their own purpose, it comes at a risk, not everybody on the planet responds with words or lawyers. When we fail to call out the vitriol and hyperbole, we do everyone a disservice.
