Back in the day....and even during Careys time atop the AFL tree....going out and getting shitfaced on a weekly basis was just the standard. It provides great bonding (unless you shag your mates wife) and an ability to escape the scrutiny and pressures of afl, if only for 1 night a week.

Now we want everyone to be robots. Watch them 24/7 thanks to smart phones and social media and demand they be choir boys at the same time? Yeah nah.

Give the boys some 'destressing' time.
They need more of it, not less.
