Firstly the reach is significantly greater than blokes in a pub (which brings with it problems), and secondly the de-legitimation of real knowledge and experience in favour of fake news is amplified, both in range and potential.
I suspect if we got all the 'active' members of this forum together we'd be lucky to fill a pub.
