Given you are so au fait with the subject, care to comment on the anaerobic conversion of CO[sub]2[/sub] while you are at it?
As for CCS, it's inevitable that something like that occurs, because even manufacturing the basic components of solar panels, wind turbines or wave energy generates CO[sub]2[/sub] or other greenhouse gases as a by-product. They have to do something to be genuinely labelled zero carbon, or else one day someone will use NPR's accounting practises on them, and claim they are infinitely overbudget on zero! Maybe they will use some of those dodgy carbon offsets! ;D
