I find a a lot of AFL, and a fair chunk of men's sport in general, hard to watch.
You have to learn the nuances of whatever sport it is. Men's basketball is all about size and who can make the most emphatic dunk. Women's basketball is more about guile and skill.
When watching AFLW, I know that the rules are different, the umpiring is often hard to follow, kicks don't travel as far, handpassing isn't the offensive weapon that it is in AFL and the physicality is a step down. I like it though!
