And don't we appreciate it when a commentator comes along, describes the game well, takes us on the emotional ride of the game well... and has left his/her ego & self-importance outside the commentary box.

I know that audiences and changed and commentators probably think that they need a box of tricks to keep viewers engaged.  However, I'd love to see prospective callers given a bunch of archival recordings from the Mike Williamson era and told to come back when they've listened to 100 hours
