An example would be the last qtr (I think) when a GWS defender had 'in the back' paid when it was blatantly obvious that there was no push and a little acting. Then a few minutes later on the wing, Vescio clearly copped, in a marking contest, head and neck contact from an outstretched arm... tumbleweeds and crickets. Same umpire as well.
I can recall the first, but not the second incident.
I can mention quite a few more as well.
Personally i think they just about ignored the incorrect disposal/holding the ball rule. Too many times a player was taken down to the ground without getting a disposal off and it was called play on. Its a bug bear of mine from the AFL, and its twice as bad in the AFLW.
That being said, i don't think it was one way.
An example was when Vescio got a free on the boundary line as an incoming pass sailed out on the full. A replay shows she was 'held', barely, and played up to it. A 1 in 100 chance the free would be payed and 0% chance it would have any effect on the game (Ball was untouchable and out on the full). Pretty sure we got a goal out of it.
It works both ways.
