They'll use this Good Friday game as a loss leader to defend the bigger prize. If the Good Friday schedule or the Cheats turn out to be spuds they argue for to surrender Good Friday but retain Anzac Day.
But for other clubs the bigger risk is if by chance the Good Friday schedule is a success, the Cheats have a history of locking these things in long term and good luck getting your share because the AFL Board, AFL Broadcaster and AFL Executive is dominated by CheatsFC benefactors! The word I have is that if they again fail to fill Etihad on Good Friday that will trigger Norp getting the ar5e for it to become a CheatsFC / Handbaggers event. Norp already have the blame allocated to them, despite how quickly the CheatsFC fans bailed last season when they turned sour!
The source of this rumor has been right on the money from day one, so I'm confident of the AFL's long term intent is not a fiction.
