Aus nurses are in demand due to their training and abilities, sick or not they usually dont let the patients down, problem is there is a high cost to pay with their mental health
and issues with addictions etc...
EB, my mother is 86 and has been in hospital a few times over the last couple of years. The nurses do a great job, but the strain they are under is obvious. And as I said earlier, it's a disgrace that our hospitals and health system in general have their funding slashed year after year. No excuse for such a thing in the supposed "lucky country."
And I bet the Health system give very little support to those nurses who need help with their issues.
