Don't you want to get that WINNING feeling again? I thought all truly "loyal" fans would be pining for that and willing us to recapture it?

Of course I do Cookie.  However, we were rubbish when I was in primary school and I was always getting involved in fights with kids who dared to suggest that we were rubbish.  Sticking with the club during lean times seems to be harder for younger folk who haven't experienced lean times before.  We certainly didn't turn on our players as some so-called supporters tend to do these days when the going gets tough.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so I will just agree that this is indeed the key and fortunately is well recognised by the club, which I firmly believe is united and truly trying to move forward now based on a realistic assessment of where we stand presently.

I know this drew criticism from many quarters when Sticks uttered that phrase but really, it encapsulates all the synonyms previously mentioned. Carlton, arrogance, #1 etc etc. I personally loved it because it was raw, from the heart and by one of our greatest leaders.
