Awesome stuff. That was heart and soul stuff there.
I am so anti-Rowe usually, but his play at the end when he ran straight at the ball coming in to the backline, knocked it forward and won the ball was just amazing stuff, game winning stuff.
Well done boys, remember that effort, and remember the reward!

I'm singing in the rain ...

Love the efforts of the young ones. Surely we HAVE to keep playing them now.

Had a horrible feeling in the 3rd Q when the umps' sympathy for the drug cheats started coming to the fore and we kept missing, but .... CHEATS NEVER PROSPER!  ;D

As well as the new boys, I just thought Kreuzer's game was absolutely HUGE. Unbelievable heart that guy.

How disappointed did BT sound when it was obvious we were gonna win?!?  Ha ha!

I think that the weather worked in our favour to be honest, but that said it was one of our better recent wins because of our sheer persistence.
Votes will be awful hard and some deserving will miss out, but the two standouts for me were Docherty and Kreuzer, and Murphy's two goals out of nowhere were worth their weight in gold on a day like today.
If there's been one criticism of us in recent years it's that from time to time we've looked like we were going through the motions but there was no sign of that today, I couldn't be happier with my team.
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

I'd say the game today was a foundation stone for our future. As James Brown once sung, "I feel good".
Reality always wins in the end.

What a great win though, if we were to win one game and that game influenced Essendon missing finals I would just about be prepared to accept that season.

6 players with 8 or more tackles including Kreuzer and 2 kids.

Great work blue boys

Yep. A win against the bombers in any given year, is a good year.

Great win!

Murphy was superb with 10 tackles and 2 brilliant goals. Doherty's second half was great and kreuzer plowed on.

We were better coached and played much smarter in the game, preferring to kick over handball.

Nothing beats beating that mob
