Why are you surprised this was the way things were pre-sub rule, so it should be expected rucks would go back to rotating off the bench. I hope it continues, but I think we won't see the best of Kreuzer until he gets a high percentage of game time.
Lots of ducks and drakes for the rest of this season, the new rules have really put the cat amongst the pigeons. But one thing, I reckon Lyon tried a half old style game plan at the weekend and our defense stood up OK.
What is surprising for me is how much TOG KPP players are getting, not just our game but across the competition some are above 95% TOG.

He was FILTHY!!
Probably the same thing Lyon was thinking when Daisy's kick sneaked over the line!
Actually the commentators are bullsh1t, the Daisy shot crossed the line well above the reach of defenders. The line camera looks down from above the padding making it look lower than it really was. But that padding must be 4m~5m high and ball crossed the line above it. I don't know any players who can get a hand on the ball above padding height.

I'm surprised because the pundits predicted that sides would play two ruckmen and they would rest in the forward line. This is what GWS and Collingwood did (St Kilda and Essendon both played only one ruckman).
Phillips has spent roughly the same TOG in all 5 games but, apart from the Richmond game, Kreuzer has been on the ground for much longer. I guess the tactics changed with Jones coming into the side. Charlie Curnow is the other bloke spending a lot of time on the pine.

Seriously LP.
Bolton could have touched that ball standing on the line.

Goal post camera shows it crossed the line above padding height, the padding at Domain Stadium is apparently 4.5m high.
But if you are talking to the purple hoard, it crossed the line a foot off the ground!

Id agree with that.
Everyone lined up on the back point post expecting the marking contest and not one of them stood the line.
The bloke who almost got to it was diving for it thats how close it was.

The bloke who almost got to it was diving for it thats how close it was. The kid can dive all he likes but unless he dove and set a new draft combine total height record he was never going near the footy as it crossed the goal line.
- The cameras are sitting just above the padding.(See the dot on the opposite goal post).
- The new 2016 padding is apparently about 4.5m high, or the cameras are 4.5m high, I'm waiting for that to be confirmed.
- The direct line between the near camera and the far camera on top of the padding on the opposite goal post must be level.
- The ball has crossed the goal line(Behind the opposite post) as it drops below the top of the padding. (Keep in mind perspective as the ball is closer to the near camera)
- The player diving for the ball is completely behind the goal line, the ball drops at least 0.5m behind him. So an AFL player is say 70cm across the shoulders so the ball hits the ground at least 1.2m over the line dropping almost vertically.
- The AFL record for total height jump is Naitanui 3.62m.
There was a very slim chance someone with a good run up directly under the flight of the ball might get their timing perfect and get a finger on it.
Too many people are swayed by Dwayne "The Pain" Russell's Foxtel comments but they are uninformed rubbish because he is a goose!

Yes, and Harmes was 3m over the boundary line!
I don't mind winding the Freo supporters up, but there were media types using it as another example of a poor Daisy kick that was just lucky from about 35m out. But from Daisy's perspective it was never in doubt, it was well executed, got good distance for that type of kick and it was a goal!

Sorry.
But no point arguing.
