Pick your best 22 - PART 5 - 6 games to go
#1
OK, time to do this one again.

Remember, assume all players are fit and in form (excluding Williams/Philp out for season).
Who do we pick?

Interesting results.
(We probably need a few more to get a better picture and make some before and after comparisons)

Everyone has Silvagni in the best 22, but apparently no contract offer as yet.
Paddy Dow-no takers.
Motlop beats Owies for the small forward spot 4-3, no love for- Durdin-out of sight, out of mind.
Fogarty with 4 votes is a little surprising, but folks are obviously appreciating what he brings at the moment.
McKay’s in everyone’s side-despite ‘outside’ calls to trade him out for his value.
Bit of love for McGovern who has been much maligned in the past.
De Koning wins over Pittonet-7-2, If we go with one ruck it looks like most would prefer DeKoning
Ollie Hollands-2 votes only (one mine). That surprises me, but maybe his injury has impacted on that vote.
Martin’s impact is being noticed, durability remains the issue or he probably would have got more votes.
No love at all for Young, Ed Curnow and Honey even though they’re getting games. Honey mostly because of injury.
A fully fit Marchbank would be in a few folks sides, but fully fit and Marchbank don’t seem to go together too often.

It's interesting to look back on the list at the start of the season and compare.

Players like Kemp have come on while others like Young, Fisher have slipped away.

I'm very pleased Kemp has stepped up - in the first half of the year he looked like he was going through the motions, and he looked like he was out the door, but something has really clicked.

I actually think he will end up as a forward in the long run - learning the craft down back is a common way of building game knowledge for budding forwards.  From the brief snippets I have witnessed, he is one of the best kicks for goal at the club and takes a good grab.
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

Sorry, only read down to see the "assume all players are fit" bit after selecting them. I omitted anyone I thought was injured.

I've changed it briefly so you can edit your votes.
Do so and let me know when you're done and i'll change it back.

Vote numbers have doubled since I posted above....and still no love for Young.
He had 32 out of 33 votes at the start of the year, now....zero Sad

Fans do not miss it when you fail to bring it!

The odd one for me is Ollie Hollands, I'd say if fit he is already a walk up start!

I voted for him, and it surprised me too.
I put it down to the fact he hadn't been playing due to his injury.

I suspect there may be one or two who want to change their mind after last night's effort...the kid busts a gut. I reckon he'll be a two hundred gamer.

I was tossing up between Hollands and Cottrell.....the latter got the nod.

I also, still, can't find a spot for TDK.....efforts like last night are why.
When choosing between a 5 possession game against top of the ladder - TDK
or
A 4 goal game against 2nd on the ladder - Silvagni

....i've gotta go with Silvagni.
