AFL Rd 9: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs
We weren't that bad in a lot of ways, but the disconnect between the mids and forward line was lethal. And our incredibly poor disposal was the difference between winning and losing.
Trends:
[1] There were 9 voters this week.
Please do take the time to vote, the more voters we have, the more reliable our statistics become.
[2] The rating this week was 7.30, which was almost an D+. The same as last week, which is simply not good enough.
[3] There were 14 vote getters this week. A solid distribution, showing a lot of players did something.
[4] The average vote this week was 24, our second worst of the year, for the second week in a row.
[5] 4 players scored more than 100 votes. But none of them were outstanding performances.
[6] Sam Walsh scored 203 votes this week to be our BOG. This was the lowest score for a BOG is some time.
[7] Only 2 players, Newman and Owies. scored votes from all voters. Not even Walsh.
[8] Not a big game from our youngsters this week, but then none of our performances were exactly brilliant.
[9] Our backs and mids were our best this week; our forwards didn’t get a look-in. Why? Because we couldn't kick it to them.

And our incredibly poor disposal was the difference between winning and losing. Again. We don't learn.
Trends:
[1] There were 11 voters this week, 2 more than last week.
Please do take the time to vote, the more voters we have, the more reliable our statistics become.
[2] The rating this week was 6.45, which was between an E- and D-. We are in a very poor vein of form.
[3] There were 13 vote getters this week. A solid distribution, showing a lot of players did something. But nobody did enough and we had only one or two winners.
[4] The average vote this week was 21, which is very ordinary. Good wins get scores above 30.
[5] 4 players scored more than 100 votes. None brilliant, but better than last week.
[6] Sam Docherty scored his first BOG for the year with 229 votes. It was very close between the top three places, with Curnow and Cerra also getting *just) more than 200 votes.
[7] Only 1 player, Charlie Curnow, scored votes from all voters. Doc and Cerra missed one voter, Sam Walsh missed two.
[8] Not a big game from our youngsters this week, but then none of our performances were exactly brilliant although Hollands did get a mention.
[9] No real pattern in this week's voting. Not enough from anyone, really.

Another disappointing result. Our defence wasn’t that bad, but our forward work …

[5] 5 players scored more than 100 votes. That is normally a good sign, but at the moment it only shows that we don’t have enough winners.

Just the other day I voted for the first time this season but seeing this I remembered why I stopped. Seriously in what world has McGovern been better than Saad?

Seriously in what world has McGovern been better than Saad? It is more that McGovern has had a couple of very good games, while Saad has been more consistent, we have a higher expectation of him. Hence it is more difficult for him to get votes.
Both have scored votes in the same number of games.

Adam Cerra has taken the lead with his 3rd BOG of the season. He has been in the top 3 players 6 times this year.
Charlie has fallen back to second, but is still a consistent poller. He has managed 5 games in the top 3, with 3 BOG's.
Doc continues his consistent vote winning. Even though he probably played better last year, he has still managed votes in all but 2 games. Last year he got votes in every game we played.
At this point, Cerra is the only Carlton player to get votes in every game.

AFL Rd 14: Carlton vs Gold Coast
One of the better wins in recent times. However, with injuries to Pittonet and de Koning, it makes the future look problematical.
Trends:
[1] There were 12 voters this week, a considerable improvement over recent games.
Even so, please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum.
[2] The rating was a 9.72, which is just above an A-, the second highest for the year. It is really nice to write that, I’ll tell you.
[3] 18 players managed a mention this week, a considerable improvement on our recent form. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution.
[4] The average vote this week was 32, which equals the season high. Another indication of a strong performance.
[5] 6 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is phenomenal! It shows we had a lot of dominant players, not just one or two.
[6] Adam Cerra managed his 4th BOG for the season. He scored 373 votes. Doc was 2nd, followed by Weitering and Cripps.
[7] Only one player, Cerra, managed votes from all of the voters. It was hard to reward everyone who deserved a mention. Docherty, Kemp and Walsh missed by one voter.
[8] Of our youngsters, Kemp stood out with what might be his best game yet. He managed over 100 votes. Cincotta was not as dominant, but he was worth his place.
[9] This week our mids were much more influential than they have been. Most of them garnered votes, but our defenders also stood out.

Cerra extended his lead at the top. There is a solid group over a 100 votes following him, lead by Charlie Curnow (who has been down for a while).
