AFL Rd 10 2023 In Game Angst Carlton vs Collingwood
#41
Let's see  how we go in the second half.  A lot could be answered in the next 60 min.

I just want to see some GUTS AND DETERMINATION......

The Filth are able to ruck Cox vs Pitto because Pitto does not offer much ruck impact, they can square the contest with the B-Grade ruck option and then we are stuck with SoJ vs Cameron, Cameron is basically ending SoJ's career as we watch. This is horrendous by our MC, it's happening game after game.

I think Pitto might have peripheral vision problems, because multiple times he does all the hustle and bustle to win an uncontested tap, and then sends it straight to the opposition, our slower heavier mids are then powerless to put on the brakes.

Motlop is better today, but Durdin is struggling against the bigger bodies.

Early last year the forward handball was devastating for us this year hardly sighted.

Overcorrection based on a few games last year, and early this year.

We were getting hurt on the rebound and had trouble defending it.

So now, we go slower, more deliberate trying to stop being scored against on the rebound....which is working.
However, its hurting our scoring and helping the opposition defend as they have more time to get back and do so.

We need to be faster, more direct......but we need to have the skills and smarts to do that,

This is why i think Williamson, Martin, Cuningham not being available for selection (and Fisher out of form) is hurting us big time.

Seems as though we've activated the sub, and I believe from the radio that McGovern is playing forward.

Pittonet is #27 yeah. Not sure who you think he is.

Stats at this point in time.
Pittonet 13 hitouts, 8 disposals, 5 clearances, 1 goal assist
Cox+Cameron- 15 hitouts, 7 disposals, 1 clearance, 1 goal assist.

Might want to get your eyes checked mate. Pitto has the same stats as them combined!

Voss is going to come under the microscope too this week and for very good reason.

We are too predictable all over the ground, there is little system and we have players not committing to the contest 100%.

Moore banqueting on our pathetic attempts to hit predictable F50 targets.
Reality always wins in the end.

More disposals, more contested possessions, same number of hitouts, virtually same number of inside 50's.....even more free kicks....and down by 6 goals. Efficiency inside 50 now 30%...no chance you're winning games with that sort of number regardless of who you're playing against.
