Not sure if I can get to the this game or not. But I'd be interested in seeing it.

Not very inspiring. Getting a lesson from a patchwork crew of 17yr olds.

Suns Academy player Rogers was dominant throughout the 13.8 (86) to 13.4 (82) victory under the roof at Marvel Stadium on Saturday as the group of the country's best draft prospects toppled the more experienced Blues line-up that contained nearly 10 AFL-listed players.
Shame!

I'm afraid that's a very low bar.

Although, Jack Martin occasionally showed some of the skills that made him a 'potential' AFL star and Honey occasionally flashed the speed and kicking ability that seems to have 'earned' him recent games but not often enough.

Jack Carroll seems to have gone backwards.

I didn't see the game and can't help being disappointed in both the result and the way we played. However, I can't help but note these 3 points that RR brought up.
[1] Martin has been a huge disappointment. He is terribly fragile and never seems as fit as he needs to be. Then he shows some moments of magic and we think, 'At last!' only to be disappointed when he disappears out of the game again. Then there is his goal-kicking, which is on par with H's.
Of all the players SOS brought in, he has been the most disappointing. I would not have recruited him.

[2] Josh Honey also disappoints. He flashes in for a few moments per game and, again, doesn't hurt the opposition enough. He doesn't get enough ball and his opponents get a lot of it. You don't see him running anyone down. His tank seems poor. His kicking for goal is ordinary. He doesn't have a presence in the air, which he should.
He was a reasonable punt, but he isn't what we need.

[3] Jack Carroll has gone backwards. That said, maybe we should give him a go in the seniors to see if he can step up. I doubt it at this point, but I am willing to be surprised. His kicking style is unreliable and he doesn't do enough for long enough. Many the WA teams were right in not selecting him. I hate saying that, but he really needs to show more. Some real pace would be nice, too.

[4] Apparently Lochie O'Brien was out best player yesterday. He would want to be. I can't see him with us next year; he doesn't have good enough decision making and he simply isn't hard enough.

Also turns the ball over too often for a supposedly good kick.

Indeed. His inability to hit a team mate is a sin we can't afford at the moment, with so many others struggling with the same issue.
