After a good start the Pies getting right on top towards the end of the 2nd qtr. Up 26-12 at half time.

Not insurmountable though.

Mimi Hill hurt her thigh in the warmup.

Still one of the best players on the ground.

Good to see a couple new recruits sorting out the first goal McWilliams -> Austin

Be nice if our girls could tackle with intent.

Meanwhile, what's with the crappy umpiring?

Thought the umpiring was OK without being great.

Think the result is about what we expected.

Our backline held up very well considering the ball lived in their forward line.

Not surprisingly, we struggled through the middle and transitioning from defence into attack.

Got dominated from start to finish. Can't see us winning much this year. Disappointing for one of the oldest sides in the competition.
Coming together is the beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

they were very happy to give Collingwood frees in front of goal.  Was shocked to see the free kick count.

Maybe, but the ball lived in their forward line, so thats just where free kicks had to be given otherwise they would've had like 3 for the night.
