#61
Boooo....
Kangas take Slender with the next vic pick.

Not sure whats left, but i think we've f***ed up.

Take the talls first!

Then get the mids next....especially the dodgy kicking action ones  :Smile

Dogs take Amanda Ling.

She was getting a bit of late press on being a bolter....and looks the goods.

Doesn't appear it be the way we are thinking, but it sticks out to me.

Pick 23 - Brooke Vickers.
Another defender....another player with a dodgy kicking action.

We are screwed next season.

We have a solid backline already, with a dodgy kicker (Wilson) in there, as well as solid rebounders (Harrington, Laloifi, Pound) and we recruit 2 more when we don't have a forwardline.

Pick 26 - Imogen Milford
We got our forward....and a mature ager....who can slot right in it seems. Phew.

Only got pick 40 left to fill out our list which we may or may not use.
Tegan Cuningham could be a smokie for us IMO. She got 'retired' at the Dees because Harris was an in. Could do worse.

...although we need a ruck! Could she fill in?

Unless the new girls can made a significant difference, we're going to struggle in 2022. I can't see us improving enough with the talent we've lost. Such is life.

We need Dal Pos to be recruit of the year, and Darcy Vescio to be FF from day 1 to even have a hope.
Would like Mimi Hill to be fit for R1 too which is unlikely, but possible.

I get a tad frustrated with the gerrymander in the AFLW. Adelaide have another easy time with exclusive access to two strong competitions, while the rest of us have to trawl through things with so much more competition. No use complaining, I guess, because I can't change it, but it is absolutely ridiculous. How a team could be allowed such an advantage...  >Big Grin  >Big Grin  >Big Grin  >Sad  >Sad

Yep. Its a bit frustrating, but unless we pay the girls more, this is what we have to do.
With Adelaide, we need Port Adelaide in there to take some players off them.

You can't use the 'go-home factor' to steal players off them either because they are all locals to begin with!

Fingers crossed Charlie Rowbottom gets home sick and wants to get out of Gold Coast, would love to snaffle her.
Otherwise, we just pray we can convince Georgie Prespakis to get rid of some of that white on her jumper.
AFLW will continue to be dominated by interstate sides until something changes.
